Take a brown paper bag and using pinking shears cut down part way from the top edge near the centre of the bag twice in the thickness of a handle. Next, cut in on both sides midway down the bag to meet up with the handle cuts. Glue the top edges together to make a handle. Using different colours of easter colour paints and using the pad of your childs baby finger, dip into the paint and dab onto the easter basket. This makes the shape of little easter eggs. Let paint dry and then fill basket with easter straw. Happy Easter Egg Hunting!!!!

Try using pinking shears to cut out a medium size heart out of felt material ( can trace using a medium size heart shaped cookie cutter). Cut out another heart but smaller and using a different colour paper. Glue the smaller one on top and then make two slits in the hearts. Thread some pretty patterned ribbon through the two slits. Can attach this to a hair tie or on to your shoe laces or on a belt. Another option is to to make smaller felt hearts and only make one small slit on the back and add these to your buttons.
To make a 3 dimentional heart valentine ornament , take 3 different pieces of patterned paper and cut out a heart from each, the same size. Put the first heart face down on a table and apply glue to 1/2 of the back of the heart, place the second heart face up, so 1/2 of it is glued to the first heart. Now fold back the second heart so now what you have showing is the other back 1/2 of the first heart and the back 1/2 of the second heart. Put glue on both these sides and then apply the 3rd heart. Now you have a 3 dimensional heart. Punch a hole in the middle at the top of the hearts and thread a ribbon through and tie. A neat idea is to use 3 different valentine patterned pieces of paper. Have fun!!!!
