make a BIRDFEEDER out of a milk carton….did it with the kids on the weekend and it turned out really cute!!!
Supplies: 2L milk carton, outdoor paint( I found this at Michael’s), small piece of twine, small twig, tape, and bird feed.
Instructions: Wash and dry an empty milk carton. Tape the top of the milk carton closed. Cut an opening about 2″x3″ , 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the box. Paint the carton however you like (can apply a few layers of base coat first if you want to start with a plain background). After the paint has dried, poke a hole through the front and back of the milk carton just below the opening, and slide a twig right through so you have approximately 2 inches sticking out the front for a bird to sit on . Fill carton with birdfeed up to the twig through the front opening. Poke another hole at the top of the milk carton and tie the twine. Hang the birdfeeder on your favorite tree and have fun watching for the birds!!!
